The VHF 1/2 wave antenna is our most versatile antenna as it does not require any ground plane for installation.   This means that the antenna does not have to be installed on metal roof, or any other large metal panel.  Although this is a NGP (No Ground Plane) antenna, we highly recommend to always install our antennas on a ground plane if possible for optimal performance.  This is great solution for any application, whether your spending the day out with your buddies or you need to call into your pit crew on race day.
